Its was Shivaratri- the night of the Shiva that, that we all reached to kolkata in the morning of 12th. I thought Park Street was the only place to shop in Kolkata but entering Burrabazaar, the heart of Kolkata as they say, was a nice experience. Guys (call it girls) went soooo crazy for shopping that they did not even leave aside the Subziwala on the road side (well, we did not buy anything from them...we were on a window shopping spree :P).
Rabindra Sarovar Stadium, somewhere near to Jadavpur, was the venue that was to be graced by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar Ji for celebrating the auspicious night. The show started with an enthralling cultural show. Guru Ji entered the stage welcomed by the sound of Drums, bansuri and Shell conch. 70K people in one stadium to catch one glimpse of him and no CHAOS!!!! Guru Ji started with a small discourse on Shiva accompanied by a video by Bharath Gyan. Many a books were released on the same day by His Holiness. Rudra puja with Guru ji was one of the reason I had reached Kolkata, and it was worth. The meditations were deeper and full of gratitude, it was followed by a satsang which actually redefined the term Satsang. Guitars, Drums used to make a rock band but it was a Satsang. I could not resist the satva rush inside me at the tunes of "Shiva Shambo" and found my self swaying and swinging. All in all a great experience of the day.
We hardly had any sleep that night, reached our rooms at 12:30 AM to go back again at 3 AM :) Kolkata was not at all cold as compared to Ranchi, it was not very difficult to take a cold water bath at 3 in the morning. Guruji started Rudra Abhishek Puja followed by Maha Kriya (worth mentioning the Bengali Pranayam). Maha Kriya was intense and powerful. I d call it a life time experience. Satsang started with some slow numbers to grace the morning. Guru ji asked one question to all, " Sab k kaam ho rahe hai naa???" and I was shouting at the top of my voice, " Ji Guru ji" which was strengthened by another 50K people saying the same!!! Guru ji left the stage singing " Jai Jai Radha Raman...."
We walked out of the stadium in search of food and landed into the McD at 9 AM :P and then proceeded to Forum mall. I tried almost every single cotton trouser at the Cotton World, Forum Mall. Finally landing to buy a T Shirt and a shirt! Me and Rush were to leave for Rourkela the same day, well we are organizing course at the NIT. The journey from Kolkata to Rourkela was horribly full of dust, turning us into dust sprayed guys! To my surprise i was welcomed by Ganesh, Vinay and some special friends. Sweet corn Soup at the Sukhsagar restaurant made us change our plan of eating there and we moved to another one and my favorite 'Moksha' :P
I have always felt a sense of fullness on entering my alma mater, but this time it was something more, i was full of gratitude for the place that 'made me' and we were now entering the same premises to make a difference there, introduce the YES+!!! The GATE exam was another exciting event that actually made me question if I was an engineer??? Well, it was Valentines day too :) and me & Rush turned out wearing red T-shirts out of mere coincidence, leaving some eyes looking at us in suspicion :P We met some people, analysed the situation, the crowd and made some new friends, got a few registered and it was time to leave Rourkela. Well, there was another surprise that was waiting... Gannu received a call that someone special wanted to see us off to Rourkela station (first time in the last 2 years) :)
Finally We left Rourkela (yes we did meet that special friend...)
...to come back again on 18th... I m leaving for Rourkela tomorrow!
Rourkela ko hila k rakh denge!!!! AAAAHHHHOOOO...
Jai Gurudev!
